Under Construction!

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been a little MIA around here lately, so sorry! It’s been a beautiful and crazy summer, filled with wonderful weddings and lots of time in the sun. I’ve got a LOT of new stuff comin’ your way, but I’m revamping my blog first! I know, I know. I did that just last fall, but I decided that I want this space to reflect my personality and style a little more. It’s gonna be great! And I can’t wait to share my little blog’s makeover with you. As always, I’ll leave you with a couple teaser pictures of what I’ve been up to lately :)

Laura + Josh: Wedding Preview

I couldn’t resist sharing these few black and white pictures from Laura and Josh’s wedding. I’m almost finished with the rest so stay tuned! Their day was beautiful.

Lindsay + Drew • Engaged

I’ve loved all the engagement shoots I’ve done, but I think this one may be my favorite! So. Many. COLORS. Lindsay and Drew wanted to spend our Saturday morning at the Carrboro Farmers Market before reenacting their engagement, a picnic at UNC’s Arboretum. I think I took almost as many pictures of fruit and flowers as I did of Lindsay and Drew. And let’s be real. These two are beautiful as individuals and even more together. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this weekend down in Georgia!

Natasha + Jerry • Engaged

This engagement shoot was so fun and different because I got to go to their new home! It’s so cool to know that this is the home where they’ll share life together. We had a perfect sunset and a huge backyard to work with, and the two of them were so welcoming. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next month in Kitty Hawk!

Artist Tuesday: Karen Margulis

Hello hello! Long time, no blog! But I’m back and ready to show you some beautiful paintings by Karen Margulis. She had me at the sunflower, but now I really can’t decide which is my favorite! Her pastels are simply beautiful. It was really hard for me to choose which pieces to post, so make sure to head over to her website/blog and see what else she’s creating!

“Share a Little Sunshine”

“Dancing into the Sunset”

“Knee Deep in Wildflowers”

“Believe in Magic”

“Nantucket Beach Dreams”

Mac Doctor

Wozers. Haven’t blogged in a while, but I promise I have a semi-legitimate excuse (besides being at the beach)! Mr. Computer has been acting strange and is off getting fixed this week so I can’t really share any pretty pictures with you guys. Sadness! Anywho, I’ll be back next week with my macmac so hopefully this little blog will be back in action! Hope you all are having lovely weekends!

Jessica + Steven • Married

Eeeeek! I am so excited to share these pictures with you! My first wedding! Jessica and Steven are an amazing pair and were simply incredible for asking me to do their wedding photography almost a year ago. Their beach wedding was intimate and family-centered, and I felt so welcomed by everyone. I loved getting to spend time with Jess before the ceremony and to be with the two as they read a devotional together before taking their vows. It really was the coolest thing to be so involved in such a big day in a couples life. Jessica and Steven, you two are great and I can’t thank you enough for your generosity and trust!

Artist Tuesday: Noomie Doodles

I love this Jakarta-based illustrator’s little sketches and watercolors. She has a ton of variety too, drawing everything from ballerinas to fashionistas to nature. And watercolor is my favorite medium, so I’m a fan! I can’t really decide which one is my favorite, but I love the little goldfish above! See more of her lovely work on her blog!
